One of the coolest-looking manufacturing errors may have given a lucky customer a surprise payday.
The Samus Amiibo is supposed to only have one arm cannon, on her right arm. A manufacturing error has put a cannon on each, causing the value and badass levels of the small plastic toy to be greatly increased.
Ebay user “Jetfour” originally placed the rare dual-cannon-wielding amiibo up for auction at a modest $50. By the time of this writing, the price has skyrocketed to over $1000. Fake eBay bids do occur, so there’s no guarantee that the winning bidder will actually pay their promised price.
Gamespot reported on a reddit user who showed off their lucky find last week, but it’s unknown if this is the same user. I’ve emailed the selling for confirmation, and will update this piece if I get a response.
What do you think? If you found this sweet defect would you sell it now? Keep it and wait for a price increase? Open it? Let me know in the comments below! Even though it looks awesome, I don’t know if I could pass up a cool grand for a $15 toy.
