In anticipation of Grand Theft Auto V‘s next gen release, Rockstar may have jumped the gun on their content reveal. A post on Rockstar’s Support page appeared earlier today, listing new features available in the PS4, Xbox One, and PC versions of the title. Soon after the post appeared, it was taken down entirely.
The reveal mentions first person mode for walking and driving, new animals roaming the city, added easter eggs, and benefits for players who transfer characters from their old gen game. This is all in addition to the expected graphical improvements, including improved texture detail, denser traffic, and enhanced resolutions.
It seems Rockstar accidentally posted this information earlier than planned, and quickly remedied the leak. While it’s also possible this information was removed because the facts were outright mistaken, it’s more likely the company released information early than completely misrepresented their own product. While none of these details can be named ‘officially confirmed,’ we have good reason to believe we’ll see these features in next gen copies of GTA V.
Grand Theft Auto V releases on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One November 18 this year, with the PC version joining the ranks January 27, 2015.
