Despite being MIA for quite some time now, there is still reason to hold onto hope for a western release of the popular online RPG, Phantasy Star Online 2. Sega of America reminded fans today that while the western release of PSO 2 is still delayed, they are still working on bringing it to the west. They have assured that they will update when they know more. The information came by way of a response to Twitter user @Japan_Game_Love marking the lack of information on the game:
@Japan_Game_Love PSO2 is still delayed. SEGA is currently working on bringing PSO2 to the West and will update as soon as we know more.

While not a rock solid commitment, it’s at least something for western fans of Phantasy Star Online 2 to hang their hats on. Released in Japan all the way back in July of 2012, Phantasy Star Online 2 hasn’t enjoyed much in the way of updates or western release information from SEGA. Interesting, as all this is going on despite there being English language versions available in regions throughout Southeast Asia.
