Major League Gaming has announced the United States flagship arena in Columbus, Ohio. The arena will open October 24 for the start of the third season Call of Duty: Ghosts Pro League. After the playoffs, the arena will host numerous events related to MLG.tv programs.
The stadium will be equipped with stadium style seats for spectators, soundproof booths for players and teams, and video screens for large audiences. These features are much akin to the commodities of the League of Legends World Championships held in Seoul, South Korea, which are quite impressive. Of course, this itself dwarfs in comparison to the previously announced Major League Gaming arena in China (opening in 2017), but this sets a good starting point. It will be very interesting to see exactly how big eSports can get. After all, this is just the beginning.
