Fans of the Pathfinder series can find solace in knowing they can experience the role-playing game on another medium soon. The developer of Fallout: New Vegas and South Park: The Stick of Truth have teamed up with Paizo Inc. to bring the Pathfinder series to an electronic format set to release for tablets. The first of the planned digital series of Pathfinder adventures is set to be an electronic version of the Pathfinder Adventure Card game, in which one to four players can play cooperatively.
Players will be able to build their own unique characters with their own fully customizable decks and stats, choosing from a variety of classes including fighter, rogue, wizard, and cleric. There are still few details on the specifics of the game for now though. Although the card game isn’t the only game planned for release.
Currently in development is an MMO set in the Pathfinder universe as well, although that’s all that has been revealed for now. Attendees of Gen Con 2014 can check out an early build of the Pathfinder Adventure Card Game at the Paizo Booth (#203) and the Obsidian booth (#2151) for an early look at what’s in store, including Pillars of Eternity. We’ll be sure to update you with any information on the upcoming games as they’re released soon enough.
