The big news today is all about the Gamescom announcement that Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain are coming to Steam. As someone who had a PS2 and played through all of them up to Snake Eater, I am totally thrilled. Here are some of the biggest reasons why Metal Gear Solid V on PC is phenomenal news.
Don’t Need to Buy a Console
One of the biggest reasons I’m happy MGSV is coming to PC is that it’s one less reason I’d need to buy a console. As it is, I have a PC, a 3DS, and an iPhone 5 upon which I play games. I really don’t have that much interest in any of the consoles since just about anything worth playing can be found on PC. As for first-party stuff that is exclusive, none of it is compelling enough that it makes me want to drop hundreds just to play it. It’s a personal choice to be sure, but that’s how I feel. As a PC gamer, I’m also very excited not just for myself, but for all the people who have long been left out in the cold on this insane and brilliant series, and will finally get a chance to discover it and see what all the fuss has been about.
