The Last of Us Remastered has definitely been in the spotlight lately, and one thing in particular that players were concerned about was issues with the matchmaking within the online multiplayer.
Players have been experiencing long wait times when trying to join multiplayer matches, which was Naughty Dog’s main concern with the 1.02 patch to the game released on Friday. According to a post on Naughty Dog’s website, they realize that there will still be issues with matchmaking for some people but that the patch should have improved the experience. They also mentioned they will be keeping a close eye on queue times in order to better work on making the multiplayer more fluid. If you’ve still been having issues post-patch, Naughty Dog recommends “…quit out of matchmaking and go back into “Find a Match”. Even though this adds an extra step, we’ve found that it sometimes helps players get into matches quicker than continuing to wait.”
The Last of Us Remastered is currently available on the PlayStation 4.
