If you’re not dreaming about Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth after this watching this trailer, we can’t be ever be friends. The minute long Japanese trailer gives us a rundown of the game’s characters before showing our protagonist run through both the real and digital world, all set to a snazzy jazz soundtrack.
If the music in the game is anything like what this trailer featured, I’ll be one happy kid. If exploration wasn’t enough for you, the trailer also shows us more combat sequences, like the ones featured in last week’s screenshot release. In addition to the digimon we’ve seen in past media, this trailer has some new faces including Leomon, Gabumon, that scary clown digimon, and other fan favorites.
I hope you watched and enjoyed that trailer because, unless you’re living in Japan, that’s as close of a look as you’ll ever get at Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth. The game is currently only announced for Japanese release next year, but myself and others are firmly crossing our fingers for a North American release. If it looks good, check out and sign the two petitions around there and just maybe we’ll see it stateside someday.
