Super Smash Bros. 4 Gets Another Ultimate Weapon, Some Assembly Required

In a lovely new Miiverse post from series creator Masahiro Sakurai, the Daybreak weapon from Kid Icarus: Uprising‘s multiplayer mode has been unveiled to be one of the newest weapons set to spice things up in the fray. Similar to the Dragoon that required three pieces put together from Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Kirby Air Ride, the Daybreak does require from assembly before you can wreak havoc on your friends and foes. Actually, let’s face it, just your foes. You leave your friendship at the door when Smash Bros. is involved.

Assemble to disassemble your opponents.

While the Dragoon creates a ship that allows players to aim and almost always instantly KO and opponent, the Daybreak unleashes a beam blast to brighten up the day of anyone who happens to be in its wake. Just as well, you can turn around at will while firing the weapon. If you happen to get caught in the beam, may Palutena have mercy on your soul. While there’s no telling just how much damage the Daybreak will do at the moment, it’s probably safe to say that it will give players something new to scramble for in the heat of battle.

You’ll get your chance to cause destruction with the Daybreak when Super Smash Bros. is released for the Nintendo 3DS on October 3rd and for Nintendo Wii U this holiday season.
