In A World Full Of 2D Roguelike Games, Vagante Sure Is One Of Them

Vagante, a 2D sidescrolling rogulike from Nuke Nine, is available as a free alpha if you’re interested in that sort of thing.

In the world of Vagante you’ll preform the basic roguelike tasks: enter a randomly generated area, fight off increasingly difficult monsters, gather loot, and die. Wash, rinse, repeat. The controls are tight and the pixelated graphics are nice, but it seems like I’ve seen this sort of thing before. Many times before. Still, if you haven’t experienced a roguelike, and want to try one out, at least this one is free.

You can download the alpha at Nuke Nine’s IndieDB page, and if you want to keep tabs on the development, you can follow their Tumblr.
