Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor Teases a Precious Character

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor has added one — no, two — characters to its plot.

In a new cinematics trailer posted on the Playstation YouTube channel, actor Troy Baker, who voices and does motion capture for the game’s protagonist, and cinematic director Christian Cantamessa talk about the story of the game. They mention how it fits in between the narrative of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings.

Cantamessa mentioned the challenges of staying faithful to the spirit of the series and still make it work as a game. But the video also teases, without drawing attention to it, the appearance of Sméagol/Gollum.
