One of the staples of PC gaming over the past 25 years is the Microsoft Flight Simulator series. The most recent entry, Flight Simulator X, came out way back in 2006, but with no sign of a follow-up on the horizon. Until now.
Today, Microsoft has signed a licensing agreement with Dovetail Games, developer of the Train Simulator franchise, to develop and publish new titles in this series. In addition to that, Dovetail is also taking the reigns on bringing its last big hurrah to Steam. Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition will be coming to PC gaming’s flagship platform in late 2014.
