James Chung and Taehoon Oh, both former artists for Call of Duty developer Infinity Ward, have formed their own studio.
This new studio, named Reload Studios, is currently a twelve person team, with most of the talent coming from either Infinity Ward or Heavy Iron Studios, a studio which most notably partnered with Disney on such projects as Disney Infinity and Epic Mickey 2.
It seems as though the main drive behind the founding of the studio is the emergence of VR with peripherals such as Project Morpheus and Oculus Rift on the horizon. The studio’s first game will be a first person shooter with heavy emphasis on virtual reality. Aside from that, no other details on the studio’s first game were revealed. Hopefully we will see this game release in close proximity to the release of the aforementioned VR peripherals.
