We already knew Cliff Bleszinski, known primarily for the hand he had in the Gears of War franchise, was coming out of his early retirement, as he recently announced a project announcement scheduled for next week. The first details regarding Bleszinski’s new studio that will be responsible for that first project have come to light today.
The new studio, Boss Key Games, had a Twitter account made for it a couple weeks ago, but today it was made clear via retweets and mentions from Bleszinski himself that this is indeed the game developer’s new studio. Further details were found in documents obtained by Polygon, including Brussee’s name and apparent title of COO for Boss Key Games. Brussee, the co-founder of Guerilla Games, is supposedly currently working with Visceral Games to finish up Battlefield Hardline in an executive producer capacity.
No official details were yet uncovered about the studio’s first project, aside from the already rumored code name Blue Streak being all but confirmed via a domain registration and the banner image for the studio’s Twitter page. Stay tuned next week as the countdown ticks to zero and we finally get the first official details on the first game from Boss Key Games.
