There was some disappointment surrounding Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel when Gearbox announced that the game would only be available for the last-gen consoles.
2K Australia’s Tony Lawrence and Gearbox franchise director Matt Armstrong have recently spoken out to Gamereactor TV and revealed that putting Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel on the PS4 and XBOX One wasn’t entirely out of the question.
“I guess we’re full-on developing the PS3, 360 and PC game, and we believe in that too. All the Borderlands 2 players are playing on these consoles. That’s the choice they’ve got. So we want to reward those guys. If fans say ‘hey, we’d really like this on a next-gen console,’ well, we’ll think about that, but right now we’re concentrating on the consoles we know.”
So I guess if players really want to see Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel on the PS4 and XBOX One, all they need to do is ask.
Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel will be made available for the PS3, XBOX 360, and PC on 14th October.
