Players of Borderlands 2 may have been surprised to get a 100 mb update recently, whether on PC, Mac or last generation consoles, it just didn’t seem like there was a call for a patch this big. As it turns out, this was no patch at all; it was Pre-Sequel! DLC for the original sequel to the game that started it all. The downloadable content in question is a series of lootable heads and skins for the games six main characters that can be found around Pandora, albeit rarely.
For those who do not wish to going looting all around Pandora for the heads and skins, Gearbox is planning on releasing them to the public via their in game SHiFT codes weekly starting on July 18th. Gearbox announced the other dates for these SHiFT codes on their website where they also give a preview of what the Borderlands 2 cast looks like when they cosplay as their favorite Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel! characters. This seems like a wonderful tactic to tease fans of Borderlands 2 and current players (such as myself…thank you Steam Summer Sale!) with what’s to come in The Pre-Sequel! which is scheduled for release on the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on October 14th, 2014.
