Oh, the power struggle. We care so much about the power of our next gen consoles that we’re reduced to graphics wars above all else.
In the next step of that power struggle, Phil Spencer announced via Twitter today that the Xbox One devkits would be getting a substantial power boost in an upcoming update. The boost comes from an increased GPU bandwidth for developers, which will allow “more performance, new tools and flexibility to make games better.”
An increased ability for developers to make better games is a benefit to everyone. Cue the console wars coming in to tell me that the PS4 still has a better resolution or something equally useless, and continuing the downward decline of humanity.
