Ubisoft Has Plans for Assassin's Creed on Last-Gen

For all of those who were astounded by Assassin’s Creed Unity‘s showing at E3, it still left many wondering what the franchise has planned for the last generation of consoles. When Unity was leaked back in March, there was also word on a project code-named Comet that would continue the franchise on Xbox 360 and PS3. And while Unity has been confirmed and touted by Ubisoft, little information on Comet has come forth. In an interview at E3, Ubisoft’s Tony Key explained:

“We haven’t forgotten about our loyal Assassin’s Creed fans on those systems. Assassin’s Creed has a ton of fans that don’t have a next-gen system so we’ll do our best to take care of them. As soon as we have something to talk about, we will.” When asked about the possibility of a separate game for last-gen platforms, Key explained that it would require “A lot of resources. We can’t do it only out of love. The idea that there are still millions of people playing on current gen is not lost on us.”
