Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Gameplay Preview Shows Off Cardboard Box Mechanics

You’re gonna want to fast forward that video to around 21 minutes, and check out a piece of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain gameplay footage set to air at E3. Next week, Kojima Productions plans to show a 30 minute gameplay demonstration of the Ground Zeroes sequel, which is in development for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

Kojima Station, a video webcast from Hideo Kojima and the creators at Kojima, broadcasted a special E3 preview that unveiled a short gameplay demo. The team mentioned they would be including a lot of hiding options, such as trash cans. Most notable in the clip was some impressive cardboard box action. Your character is able to pop into the box, sneak around, and pop out as he pleases.

Less than one tenth of the gameplay planned for E3 was shown here, and the team is very excited to show us more in the near future.
