Arc System Works’ upcoming 2D fighter Guilty Gear Xrd SIGN has received additional details today, including the ability for players to compete across generational lines. A recent Famitsu issue has revealed that Xrd SIGN will feature cross-play between PS3 and PS4, allowing players on either console to fight against each other.
While cross-play may be the biggest news here, it’s certainly not the only bit of new information hitting the web. For one, console editions of Xrd SIGN will see a new, yet currently unrevealed, character. Xrd SIGN will also feature a new story mode that carries on from where the arcade version of the game left off. Additionally, the PS4 release of the game will be running at 1080p while PS3 will run at the game’s arcade native 720p.
Fans of the upcoming Guilty Gear game are seeing plenty to get excited for. Hopefully the information keeps flowing until the game comes out this fall for PS3 and PS4.
