It seems recent rumors running about the internet are indeed true.
Today, IGN got a first look at the existence of Forza Horizon 2. A sequel to Forza Horizon, part of one of Microsoft’s flagship series. Forza Horizon 2 is currently in development for Xbox One and Xbox 360, due for release later this fall.
Development on Forza Horizon 2 is being handled primarily by Playground Games, the same team who handled the first Forza Horizon. However, Playground is working closely with the Forza Motorsport team at Turn 10 Studios.
According to Playground Games, Forza Horizon 2 is set to feature hundreds of cars along with the series debut of a weather system. The Drivatar system from Forza Motorsport 5 will also be adapted to Forza Horizon 2.
Rather than in Louisiana, Forza Horizon 2 will take place in Southern Europe so as to feature “incredible diversity” and “amazing vistas,” according to Fulton. The game will center around a large music festival.
And of course, headlining Forza Horizon 2 will be the painfully beautiful (and painfully expensive) 2015 Laborghini Huracan.
