Falling Skies, the TNT sci-fi drama is getting the console treatment this fall, according to a release from Little Orbit.
The game is going to be a tactical strategy RPG, and will take place in the post alien invasion setting akin to the television show.
“Survival of the human race is at stake,” reads the release. “Players will dive into a world gone wrong and command a squad of recently-rescued survivors who have been recruited into the human resistance fighting to save the planet. The team will engage in covert tactical operations against the Espheni fighting to survive against alien invaders while also rescuing and recruiting survivors to join to 2nd Mass.”
Player should expect to see the movers and shakers from the TV show make an appearance in the game.
“Our goal for Falling Skies is to recreate the humanistic elements from the television series so that players can grow with the characters as they play through intuitively designed strategies,” said Matt Scott, President of Little Orbit, in a release distributed by the company. “We want to bring that same character driven storyline derived from the series to the game all while making it easy to navigate for every player.”
The release describes the game to have never-ending missions, dynamic AI, and map randomization.
Falling Skies will begin its fourth season on June 22, while the game will hit PC, PlayStation 3, Wii U, and Xbox 360 this fall.
