In a new video today showcasing the Batmobile, an updated release date for the third Batman game by Rocksteady was revealed. Batman: Arkham Knight, previously expected for this holiday season, is now releasing in 2015. The reason, as Rocksteady Studios marketing manager Guy Perkins told GameSpot, is to make the game the best experience that they can, and they need more time to do so.
He also mentioned the difficulties of building a city where you can use the Batmobile shown in the video above.
“The Batmobile is one thing we just couldn’t do on previous gen. It’s not just a case of having a car, it’s a case of building a city where the car feels at home. So if we were to try and bring the Batmobile into Arkham City, for example, the streets aren’t conducive to that driving experience. You have to create a much bigger environment to house the vehicle.”
