I almost choked to death a couple of days ago when Pokemon Omega Ruby and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire were announced. I say that just so you know how irrationally excited I am for these two games; they were the ones that got me into Pokemon all those years ago. Groudon is still my favorite Pokemon. It remains the only game in which I actually caught them all (fucking X and Y and their legendarys elude me still).
Speaking of X and Y, it appears that it is on the the engine behind those first fully 3-d handheld Pokemon titles that Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will be running on. According to a very brief sneak peak trailer released by Nintendo yesterday, the remakes look exactly like the most recent entries. To an almost frightening degree. Well, fine by me. X and Y looked fantastic, so I’m not going to be one putting sticky notes in the complainers box this time.
Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will be coming worldwide this November for the 3DS.
