Whether you like it or not, Flappy Bird is coming back in August to mobile app stores.
Flappy Bird is the hyper-addictive and hyper-frustrating mobile game that surged in popularity in January. The goal is to tap the screen of your smart device to navigate a little bird between columns. The creator of the game, Dong Nguyen, pulled the game from the mobile market in February because he thought it was too addictive.
In a CNBC interview with Kelly Evans, Nguyen said he is making the game less addictive and will introduce multiplayer.
“It’s boring to play alone,” Nguyen told CNBC.
Nguyen said the updated Flappy Bird will be ready to be re-released in August.
