More Tweaked Elements Turn Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty into a New Experience

The development team of Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty has unveiled that this will be, as expected, much more than a graphical revamp of the original game. Naturally, with technological progression in the video game industry, some games just don’t age quite as well, and they may not seem quite as fresh as they were way back in the day when it’s all we had. As such, remakes are a tricky thing, but the Oddworld team knows exactly how to bring their franchise back to a new era in full swing, and with more than a shiny new pair of shoes.

When New ‘n’ Tasty comes out, see if you can notice now the enhanced creature AI, as the team has improved how they behave and interact, breathing a new life into the game’s grimy world. Just as well, the general gameplay has received a number of refinements to make it an all-around smoother experience. It won’t be the game the played all those years ago; it will be even better, it seems.

New and tasty indeed.

New and tasty indeed.

Additionally, a cross buy and save feature will be implemented into the Sony system versions of the game, so if you get the game on either the PlayStation 3, 4, or Vita, you can access the game and save through any of the other three systems. This ought to be especially neat for taking the game with you on the go when you feel like it.

Fans of the Oddworld series will be glad to hear how hard the team has been working to make this the best game they possibly can. Although there is no official release date, there is a price tag, but only for Sony platforms right now. Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty will be available for purchase at a price of $29.99 for the US, €24.99 for Europe, and £19.99 for the UK for PlayStation 3, 4, and Vita systems. New ‘n’ Tasty is also set to release on Nintendo Wii U, PC, Mac, and Linux, although there will be more information for those versions of the game later on.
