One of the biggest names in anime is coming west with Bandai Namco’s revelation today that Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment is being localized for the PS Vita. For those who haven’t heard of the show or the books, it was a big hit that dealt with characters interacting inside the various worlds of an MMORPG. It was a very controversial anime with many fans and many detractors, but ultimately the book’s concept worked well enough for adaptation into gaming.
Namco Bandai has been pretty hush about any release dates so there isn’t much news to go on other than the fact that we are indeed bringing a Sword Art Online game to our shores some time this Summer. Below I’ve included the game’s main trailer in Japanese and the images Namco has released today.

BANDAI NAMCO Games America Inc. today announced that Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment is scheduled to arrive in the Americas as a digital exclusive game for the PlayStation®Vita in summer 2014.
