Alien: Isolation Developer Diary Shows off How Scary Sounds Can Be

Creative Assembly, developer of the upcoming Alien: Isolation, released a developer diary of their work so far and highlighted their focus on perfecting the sound of the game. The team got access to the original sound recordings of the original 1970s film to be better able to craft a gripping score. With the addition of a dynamic sound engine, the score will change according to what the player is doing and can inject a sense of tension into the player’s every action. All this means to me is that not only will I have to play this with all the lights on, but also with some smooth, soothing jazz music playing pretty loudly on my computer at the same time.

Alien: Isolation will be available from October 7, for Xbox One, PS4, Windows PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
