Papers, Please Hits Sales Milestone – Everybody Wants to Go to Arstotzka

One of the most enjoyable indie games of 2013, Papers, Please, has just reached a big sales milestone. According to developer Lucas Pope, the paperwork simulator has sold over 500,000 copies, which is extremely impressive for a game that can’t really be explained in a way that doesn’t make it sound extremely boring. Pope, who left working on the Uncharted series for Naughty Dog, finds Papers, Please nominated for Best Game at the BAFTAs alongside his former Naughty Dog coworkers for their AAA hit, The Last of Us.
