Gone Home Hits 250K Milestone

The indie exploration game Gone Home has sold 250,000 copies, with Fullbright Company founder Steve Gaynor estimating that roughly 80% of these were purchased on Steam.

After many accusations from the gaming community that it “isn’t a real game”, the unprecedented success of Gone Home is a true testament to its interactive story-telling, complex characterisation and emotional maturity. Not just a herald of shifting popularity towards indie titles produced by small teams, this game will hopefully pave the way for more projects to create narratives in increasingly innovative ways.
