This morning on the Smash Bros. website, it was announced that Diddy Kong would be returning to the new Smash game set to come out on the 3DS and Wii U later this year. The quick footed monkey seems to be bringing his arsenal of weapons and tricks back into the new game which should be a good counterpoint for such new fast characters like Little Mac, announced last week.

As always, it’s interesting to see just who exactly is returning and who isn’t. As the roster grows and grows, the chopping block edges ever closer to who may or may not make it in after all. Is there anybody else from the older Smash entries who you think may or may not make it? Personally, my money’s on Ike– as far as characters not making it in, I mean.
