Depression Quest Gets Greenlit On Steam

Many months and thousands of bizarrely mean Steam comments later, and indie Twine-style game Depression Quest has finally been Greenlit for the Steam marketplace. One of only few interactive fiction games to hit Steam, it aims to walk the player through a life of depression and anxiety in an attempt to spread awareness, and perhaps remove some of the stigma surrounding mental health issues. It’s caused somewhat of a stir in its path to being Greenlit (albeit mainly the usual ‘is it a game?’ yawn-fest) but also has won a fair share of indie game awards, which can be seen on its official Steam page here.

It’s yet to be readily available for purchase on the Store, and the current notification simply says that Valve has ‘reached out to the developer’, but it’s still possible to acquire the game from
