New details and a preroder sale via Steam reveal that Broken Age, the much-anticipated adventure game by Double Fine Productions, will hit public access on January 28th for the first act, with the second act to follow as a free add-on. A tempting 10% discount for preordering the game sweetens the deal, bringing the price down to $22.49.
I’ve seen a lot of chatter about this ever since the Kickstarter campaign first hit, and I know a lot of people — both backers with early access, and us normal folk who didn’t chip in — are very excited to see what Double Fine has in store with this new title. Double Fine won a lot of fans with its first outing, Psychonauts, back in 2005, and has kept a loyal following since then. Broken Age, though, may be the developer’s most anticipated and talked-about title in some time.
