During today’s Nintendo Direct presentation, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata announced the latest Kirby game, Kirby Triple Deluxe, and revealed that it would be released on the Nintendo 3DS.
When Iwata described the game, it was clear that it was a side-scrolling platformer with elements that would take advantage of the depth offered by the 3DS. Kirby’s traditional copy abilities will be available along with a variety of new moves. His new “Super Nova” ability is like an enhanced version of his inhale ability in which he is able to open new paths in the levels.
Kirby Triple Deluxe is slated for release on the Nintendo 3DS sometime in 2014.
