Free Japanese Language DLC for Lightning Returns

When Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII releases in North America this Feburary, fans will breathe easy knowing that dual languages will be available to them.

Square-Enix announced that in the first two weeks of launch, the Japanese language DLC will be free for customers, after which it will become paid content. The reason for the monetary transaction is Square-Enix went off to animate separate lip-synch for each of the respective languages, and required additional coding.

I for one find it a pretty cool gesture and even if it becomes paid after two weeks, it is additional effort on Square-Enix’s part so I can understand making it paid DLC.
