The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to be DRM-Free

In an open letter to the community earlier today, CD Projekt Red has revealed that there will be no DRM restrictions on any copies of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. What that means is that whether you buy the game directly from GOG.com or in box-form, there will be no DRM restrictions anywhere in the world.

The only exception to the 100% DRM exemption will be the Steam platform, which has its own rules and regulations on these sorts of things. So if you’re looking to pick up The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and want to enjoy it completely DRM-free, you might not be able to get those nifty Steam achievements, but at least you’ll be able to do whatever you want with your copy of the game.
