The Ratchet & Clank Future saga finally comes to its epic end with the upcoming release of Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus on November 12th, 2013, exclusively on the Playstation 3. Details have been lightly trickling out about this game since its announcement a few weeks ago, so its certainly good to hear a little more news on the affair. Sony has also announced that the game will retail for $29.99 MSRP in America with Insomniac saying that Into the Nexus will be a relatively smaller game than Future and A Crack in Time.
“Some of you have asked us why we made a shorter Ratchet game,” says James Stevenson, community lead at Insomniac Games. “The truth is, we relished this ability to tie a bow on the PS3 era of Ratchet with a shorter title… This one felt just right. It’s a very polished self-contained return to the Ratchet adventures of yore.”
Frankly, I’ll be curious to see how they handle a smaller Ratchet & Clank title this late in the system’s lifespan. The original Future game is still one of the best looking titles on the PS3 today and it’ll be interesting to see if Insomniac can wriggle a few more tricks out of console for a final hurrah.
