Ping 2: Attack of the Spheres, the sequel to the 8-bit puzzle pong game for Android by NAMI TENTOU MUSHI has started a Kickstarter campaign.
The sequel brings a new style of gameplay where players bounce a ball through puzzles with an original techno soundtrack to match. Along with this style of gameplay, Ping 2 will also switch between spaceship fighting and an FPS shooting level at the end of each world as players destroy sphere bases.
The planned Wii U release will feature:
- 5 player FPS local multiplayer
- 2 player swap main story mode (think of Super Mario Bros. in taking turns.)
- Gyroscope aiming for FPS mode
- Off TV play
- Asynchronous gameplay for when playing on TV mode
The Kickstarter campaign has a goal of $20,000 and plans to release on Wii U, PC, Mac, and Linux. You can find out more by checking out their Kickstarter page here
