Intel's Director of Marketing Believes GTA V Will Hit PC's Before Too Long

Many gamers out there haven’t had the chance to experience the excellence that is Grand Theft Auto V quite yet. I’m talking about the PC gamers that are sure it will come to their platform of choice, many are hoping next year. If you’re one of these people, you may be in luck. It sounds like Chris R. Silva, Intel’s Director of Marketing for Intel’s Premium Notebooks, is fairly certain the wait won’t be too long.

“Somebody paid a lot of money to make sure that title was exclusive,” Silva told PC Gamer.

It would appear that he believes this is just a timed exclusive, which makes a lot of sense these days. I’d be surprised if Rockstar didn’t bring this over, with the huge modding community surrounding GTA IV, and just the general desire to have the game running on higher spec machines. I personally could not have waited for a PC version to release; I am loving the console version for now. Turns out it doesn’t look too shabby, even on eight-year-old hardware.

There is a petition for this PC version that’s been around for a while now, but I seriously doubt this has any affect on whether or not it will be developed for the platform. Rockstar knows how badly PC gamers want this, and they know that it will sell. Hell, I’d buy another copy of the game if I had the rig for it (or a next-gen console version *wink wink*). We’ll see what happens, but it sounds safe to say that this version is on its way sometime in the not-too-distant future.
