If you’ve been sitting at the edge of your seat awaiting more information about Capcom’s latest addition to the Ace Attorney series, you’re in luck! In a couple of gameplay videos released earlier today for the upcoming 3DS title Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies, conversations between Apollo Justice and a new prosecutor are revealed and new investigative tactics are showcased. It was also revealed at the beginning of both videos that Dual Destinies received an M rating.
Fans of the series are sure to know that Ace Attorney isn’t exactly scandalous. The game itself thrives on witty exchanges between characters and an ongoing narrative. This begs the question then, why the M rating? What exactly is it about Dual Destinies that someone under 17 wouldn’t be able to handle? My theory is that the ESRB finally decided Apollo’s haircut was far too gruesome for children and younger teens to be exposed to. However, they’re claiming the typical rated M reasons with the description reading: violence, blood, suggestive themes, and language.
Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies is set to release sometime in the Fall on the Nintendo E-shop.
