Gematsu released a bunch of information last night from Gameinformer about the upcoming The Witcher 3, Wild Hunt, the sequel to the dark fantasy themed RPG The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings. CD Projekt Red’s excellent reputation among the gaming community is reason enough to be excited for a content-rich, polished Witcher 3, but in case you aren’t convinced, here’s a quick rundown of information on new features.
- Will be open world like Skyrim, but with a even larger setting
- New engine will be able to handle this enormous world without a loading screen
- “Over 100 hours of hand-scripted quests”
- Branching storyline
- Dynamic weather effects
- Improved combat with more animations and features such as weak points and a new dodge mechanic
The Witcher 3 will be released 2014 on PC and “all high-end platforms available” (possibly next gen consoles?). Sneak peek below.
