Anime is expensive. Most production manufacturers rarely get any returns off of TV ad revenue or any other method of return. This makes it hard for many shows to get solid returns, so they add gimmicks and premium packaging to inflate the value of the product. Sometimes it is nice to get a graphic print or a stress reliever, but sometimes you want to just watch some anime on the cheap.
Fortunately NISA has finally heard you and shows like Arakawa Under the Bridge, Bunny Drop and Ghastly Prince Enma have brand new slightly cheaper versions without all the frills added on. Arakawa’s certainly a bizarre show and if you enjoy this anime hobby, this is a great time to start picking up some cheaper shows.
