The sequel to Amnesia: The Dark Descent, Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs looks like it will provide the same pants-soiling sleep-disturbing horror that its predecessor did. The Chinese Room, the new devs, released a trailer today for the anticipated release (at a suitable time I might add). The game is set sixty years after the previous one in Victorian London, a setting rife with class struggles railways, and…pigs?
If we can discern anything from the trailer, it seems that the word “pig” means more than just the obvious definition of an animal that squeals.
Also, the devs have a simple request to ask of fans. The studio writes: “”We are on the hunt for the sounds of fear, panic, terror, anguish, torture and horrid, awful death to include in the soundtrack for Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs. We don’t care who does the screaming. We just want the fear.”
Looks like a great time to play through Amnesia again for the braves ones out there. Send your screams to firstname.lastname@example.org.
