Viz Media set up a new domain with the promise of delivering streaming media content through Neon Alley. This is the manga and anime entertainment giant’s first big move in to their own service and they have announced their debut platform. Sony PS3’s will soon be able to HD anime through the service the company announced today.
So far the company has many of announced partnerships through Aniplex, Anime News Network and Tai Seng Entertainment for those looking to satisfy their Chinese drama fix. Neon Alley plans to run this subscription based service for $6.99 with limited advertising planned. We’ll see what comes of the services 24/7 all English dub streaming service, but it should be an interesting alternative to Netflix’s limited anime offerings.
