[News] Street Fighter Celebrates Its 25th Anniversary With Style

Wow. Look at this. Without a doubt, this is the best collector’s edition of all time.  Eat your heart out, Nintendo.  Capcom has gone all-out with this collector’s item, and, to be honest, it’s kind of blowing my mind.

Let’s start with the games. Included in the set, for PS3 or 360, will be Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike Online Edition, Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition, complete with costume DLC, and SFxT, complete with all DLC characters and Swap Costumes.  Remember, these are only the games.  To hear about the rest of the box, as well as see a picture of its contents, hit the jump.

You saw the games, now feast your brain upon the other contents, which include:

  • Two Blu-Ray Discs containing a documentary highlighting the influence of the franchise upon fans, and vice versa.
  • All of the normal and Super Street Fighter IV anime cutscenes
  • Every damn episode of the Street Fighter anime, as well as Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie
  • An 8-inch tall light-up statue of Ryu
  • An 11-disk soundtrack, featuring both original OSTs, as well as remixes and SF-inspired fan music
  • A 64-page art book
  • Ryu’s Belt
  • Finally, a Certificate of Authenticity.

Do you know how much all of this costs? Only $150. One-hundred fifty US dollars. Yes. Wow. I can’t even express how amazing that deal is. To think that Capcom, known for being stingy masters of DLC and rerelease, would price this at such a low mark boggles the mind.

So, who’s planning on buying this behemoth?
