Along with the announcement of the new iPads today came the (arguably) just as exciting news that Epic Games would be bringing another Infinity Blade title to the device. This isn’t the Punch-Out! clone you know and love, though. This is a prequel that looks to take inspiration from the likes of Torchlight and Diablo. The graphics are stunning as always, but I’m more interested in how they’ll take the intuitive touch controls the series is known for and applies them to a whole new genre. The Rebirth system could be intriguing, too. Can you say Rogue-like? Also of note is that Chair, developer of the original two Infinity Blade games, will not be developing this prequel. Anyway, they released a trailer that shows off a little gameplay, so hit the break if you want to see it. It’s worth the minute.
Edited to reflect that previous Infinity Blade developer Chair is not developing Infinity Blade: Dungeons.
