Marvel Comics had more than Augmented Reality to show off today. They brought an entirely new update to the way comics could be presented. Using their Digital Comics line, they have tweaked the format to an almost movie-like presentation for their digital issues. Seeing as they will be expanding the digital storefront greatly when they incorporate the entirety of the new releases, this technology is a great way to push forward in the market with a fresh idea.
Below you will see the Infinite Comics version of Avengers vs X-men Nova previewed by Axel Alonso, Jeph Loeb and Peter Phillips.

The basic concept behind all this was to break the comic down in the process of story to art to ink to lettering and expand more on what can be evolved with this. It’s a more intriguing presentation than the motion comics experiment which attempted to animate a still image.
While I’m about as tepid about this as I was with the motion comics, this can be a successful venture for the company if it is thought out enough.
